Orchard will celebrate Diwali (Festival of Lights/Indian New Year) on Thursday, October 9th. Students will create a large rangoli (temporary floor mural from colored rice powder) outside the main entrance. We need at least two parent volunteers per class.

Join us for Orchard’s Family Movie Night on Friday, October 3rd, featuring the beloved animated classic Kung Fu Panda!
The evening starts at 6:30PM, with the movie kicking off at 7PM. Bring your own blankets, chairs, and water bottles—water bottle filling stations will be available!
Every warrior attending needs a ticket: just $15 each or $40 for a family of three or more. Each ticket includes 1 bag of popcorn to fuel your Kung Fu spirit! Snack bags will be available for pre-purchase only. Additional popcorn as well as candy and glow sticks will be sold at the door—while supplies last!
Please note, this is not a drop-off event. Gather your family and friends and get ready for an epic night of fun! All proceeds will support the 5th-grade end-of-year celebration. We hope to see you there!

Reminder: Doremus Ave will be closed to southbound traffic at Ackerman Ave from 7AM - 4PM. Police will allow cars and buses through to Orchard School, but traffic may be affected. Please allow extra time.

The final phase of Ridgewood Water's project to increase water flow to a low-pressure area will begin on Friday, June 27. A concrete vault to house the new booster pumps on Glen Avenue will be installed on Friday between 12:00 am and 10:00 am.
For the majority of this time, one lane (eastbound) will be open on Glen Avenue between Upper Boulevard and Oak Street. Both lanes will be closed to traffic between 6:00 am and 8:00 am. Detours will be in place, and police officers will be on site to assist drivers. We appreciate your patience as Ridgewood Water undertakes this important work.
